Surface water temp was 74 degrees, making it difficult to get any trout action anywhere but deep. Fortunately, this lake is about 60 feet deep at the South end. A sinking line and patience produced many bows in the 8 to 10 inch range with an occasional 12 incher. I did manage to pickup one nice bow estimated at about 20 inches, but the LDR was just a little too LD to get accurate. I suspect early spring would be good for hatch action, but for now it is too slow and too deep for the fly.
