The plan was to wake up early and take the inflatable boat to green lake for the new triploids.

But I just couldn't wake up in the morning so it remained that I will go later with my daughter.

We arrived late and after setting up the boat (my wife and daughter make great spectators) me and my daughter were in the water with the engine running.

Fishing with kids is crazy hard but I was able to keep 3 rods in the water most of the time but couldn't keep my daughter away from steering the boat. I'm happy to announce that we got out of lilypads ok :)

It's my first time with the boat in green lake. I usually fish from shore so I realize that it is a different kind of fishing and my shore fishing tricks don't apply here.

In about 1 hour we got 2 hookups. My daughter managed to "release" them both but can't really blame her since I still had barbless hooks. One was on a wedding ring spinner and the other on a wholly bugger.

We noticed that the boat was loosing air so we cut the trip short. We didn't get any fish smell in the boat but it was still fun, we got some bites, the weather was nice and got to spend fun time with my daughter.

Sounds like a fun time. Hope the "Engine running" was just a figure of speech, as there are no motors allowed on Greenlake.
