I started fishing about 7am and got bites right away. Put 3 in the box by 8. After that it was hard to get them in the net. One almost jumped in the boat again but it missed. There were plentiful takers until about 9 or 9:30 then it just turned off. I lost track of the fish I lost at the net. I got my limit but 2 were little and I left them at the lake.
I got them in 45-80 feet of water with the cable from the downrigger set between 12-29 feet going 1.3 to 1.6 mph.
It was mostly cloudy and the north west corner of the lakes temperature was 68 degrees at 20 foot. I trolled east and west not quite to the middle of the lake for most of the morning. While I did do north and south at the west end for a span of time.
I got the most hits on Dick Nite’s Chartreuse Hot Head and Wannafish A Lure’s Pink Ice but Pink Splatters got a couple also. The fish were 11 and 12 inches.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Lewis It may seem like it but not really. There were 3 times recently I went out that I could not get my limit. Only got 1 or 2. Then I lose so many it is .... LOL I don't see myself as a mud puddle fisher person. But I do go frequently and try.
