Yesterday was the 1st day of summer vacation for my Son, he just graduated kindergarten, we had no plans for Monday yet, but he woke up early, came into the room, woke me up and said he wanted to go fishing.. that's easy to say yes to!!
So off we headed to Lake Serene. I've spent more than a week now fishing almost every day learning to fish for and hunting down Bass with no success, so an easy trout catching mission with the boy was surely a welcomed and more relaxing break..
We started out actually trying to find some blue gill rumored to be here, by using worms we collected in the yard before leaving.. no luck right away so we went after some trout and right away the fish catching was on.. we laughed, we high five'd and we caught many fish.. We fished from about 10am to 1pm and got 10 fish to the boat. in the end, i had the boy try to drive me around the whole lake, staying close to the docks and lilly pads so i could toss some gear at the docks in search of bass.. no takers but i found some good cover i want to hit next time i'm out there.. his driving skills can use some practice and we had to clean up the prop a few times, but ya gotta start somewhere right? :)
fun day!
lots of pictures.. cuz everyone likes pictures.. \m/
