I would like to say that I caught these fish, but I can't. Mr KAZ and his 2 boys had a great day. We launched our boats around 5:15 and headed right towards the island and bill's boathouse. I didn't get my first fish till 07:00 am. I was marking at 30 and 40 ft, but nothing was hitting. I was trolling between the launch and the island. It was around 60 ft deep, and I had was at 30 and 40 ft. I tried everything, but couldn't get a hit. Everytime Mr KAZ went by his youngest boy, around 5 or 6 would yell over and let me know how many fish they had. He was excited and having fun. So we decided to head towards bill's boathouse, and I changed back to all pink. As soon as we entered the gauntlet, something hit my pole with a vengeance, I have never seen that kind of hit on my downrigger pole. I started reeling in and I knew it was big. About half way in he came off, my heart sank, what a pig. Then as we passed the island on our left, I got bite after bite, They were all trout, lost 3 while trying to dip them and put 1 in the boat. So we stayed on that side of the island till around 9:45 and decided to call it a day. I marked good fish on both sides of the island but couldn't get a koke to bite, only trout. Needless to say, I could hear his youngest boy all morning, and I found out why when we loaded our boats and compared our fish. I was outfished by a long shot. Mr KAZ was a happy man, taking his 2 boys out and having a great time. The oldest boy caught the biggest koke, 16 inches. WOW what a pig. Mr KAZ asked how my smoker was working, I replied, you tell me tomorrow at work LOL
