We had a slow start on the lake fighting the wind a couple cold passengers. we started by dropping anchor across from the launch in the shallows, there were 4 poles in the water everyone was trying something different and nothing for an hour. the wind continued to get worse and I decided the go with the fish lake troll. (put the boat to the side, small weight and power egg and let the wind push you across the lake) my buddy and I hooked up right away to a couple of planters then gunned up and went for another float. then my girlfriends niece got her first fish (she set the hook and did everything). we all hooked up a few more times than the wind won and we called it a night. had a blast and glad I helped her niece get a fish (she is a better boat companion then my girlfriend ha-ha)

When you say "I decided the go with the fish lake troll". Are you by chance referring to the "fish lake" near Lake Wenatchee? I used to fish like that, in that lake. But it has been years since fishing there for me. The wind can be so brutal, that you either get off the water or improvise.

LOVE that photo! The dark clouds, the sun on your faces, the wind blowing the hair across her face, her smile, the fish, and, the best is the pink kiddie pole! :)

lol you nailed it Motoboat. i use it a lot and it actually almost always is effective. especially in the smaller local lakes, serene it also a good lake for it. you just want to use a little bit of weight and be about 10-15 deep
