i wasn't going to report on this fished out lake, but i wanted to share pic's and story of a couple that camped next to us. as in me and my fishing buddy. first of i have truck and 17ft glasply, my buddy has dinali and 24ft trailer. we were going to take both over to the lake, however i get this brain storm hey scott lets buy a tent and you ride with me the cost of your gas will pay for the tent. nice tent 9 x 19ft [for sale] well we make good time set up tent between rain storm's. build fire, and settle in. next morning first of were heading to omak why you ask instead of getting on the water and catching fish like in the past., because i had to put my sleeping bag and pillow in a dryer, yep tent leaked, just past where the rain fly stop's. ok blue tarp for the next few day's.anyway, found out that they [wdfw] opened leader year round, a friend that live's at the entrance said when lk froze last winter there was a steady stream of car's ice fishing, wiped out larger blue gill's and crappy, ton.s of 3tp 4'' blue gill's. anyway back to camping mate's pic's say's it all, frank and em, frank is 79 and em is 83 that make's her a cougar [right] she was the spunkiest little lady you could ever meet up and down the bank to boat jump's in far more gracfull than myself [71] fished all day in the rain, cleaned fish, and give frank a hard time about how she had to catch most of the fish. it did not stop raining for 3 day's, scott and i both agreed head to the west side, lk stevens. did i mention it rained the whole dam time.
