I ventured to my local fishing hole to see if I could catch some kokanee around 11am. Little did I know the park was packed and had a carnival going on so there is no parking available except for parking next-door at the Alaska Air headquarters. As I was getting ready to launch a man asked if he could come fishing on my boat, I replied ok come aboard. I noticed he didn't have any kokanee gear so I hooked him up with a dodger and wedding ring and we were off fishing. Within a few minutes I started getting some hits on the rigger at 28ft, and pulled in a fat 16.5in Kok. My fishing partner was amazed that we caught something because he says he never catches anything. He then asked me if he could reel in the next fish so I said sure why not. We continued to trade the rod back and forth for every other fish until he had to catch the bus home at 2pm. I caught my limit, and he had four nice kokes. Overall it was a great day on the water and fishing was consistent. The largest kok was 16.5in and 1 lb. 6 oz. and the smallest was 14.25in and 1 lb. 2 oz.
