I decided to load up the boat and head to Island after getting home from work. I was pleasantly surprised when I when I launched as there were no swimmers at the lake. It was very quiet on the lake. I started fishing the pads near the launch with no hits. I continued fishing the west end and finally hooked a fish near the pads. He hit my Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw and missed it. I came back with 5" Yamamoto Senko in Mad Melon color and he killed it. I caught a few more bass around the island and another close to the launch. I wanted to fish the pads near the swimming beach but ran out of daylight. I mainly used the Zoom Craw to catch all my fish. I used three different colors(green pumpkin, green pumpkin orange, watermelon chart). I rig them Texas style and bury the hook so I can pull them over the pads. I also caught a couple reeling it in slowly and pausing for a second. I also had a couple hits trolling it. The water was nice and flat all evening.
