Haven't had a computer for over a week so I am behind on my posts! I know it won't be long when I will not be able to get the Tin Cup into Angle lake anymore so took advantage of a slow morning from work and met my friend Ron at the gate at 7:15 as was surprised to find it open already. We carefully launched the boat and started our troll up the south side of the houses using a pink splatter back dodger and mini hootchie with stinger hook and pink maggots and dropped the lines to 25 and 30 feet. Didn't have much action so came up to 28 and 25 and then started getting some activity! First 2 were drive by's but then had a solid take the popped the line off the downrigger and it shot up out of the water behind the boat. Worried we would lose it I made sure Ron brought it in real slow and eased the net under it before it realized it was dinner! A beautiful 16" koke ( now the picture does make it look bigger, almost like an adult sockeye!) haha
Ended up with 3 kokanees and 1 rainbow by 9:30 and carefully got the Tin cup back on the trailer. I will be hitting this now in the evening with my little 6' boat from now on when I can!
