Recently found this awesome lake, loaded with good chunky browns and very challenging to fish. I used a small fly on 10# power pro braid to convince them to bite. Lots of fun!

Nice job! I have a cabin in Packwood and I know how hard it can be to get those fish to bite in that little pond. There are some nice sized fish in there...I had no idea there were brown trout in there though. Amazing how you can drive right by it and not even know it. The black ants seem to work really well in that area. Nice fish!

I was using a water bubble with a 6 foot leader, all on my steelhead rod with power pro as main line and leader material... I thought about trying my actual fly rod but the casting is sketchy to say the least... Maybe from a float tube a fly rod would kill them!! I put them all back so they can grow up but I did see someone leaving with 6 on a stringer... He was using night crawlers and mallows.

I always stop at this lake in the fall to fly fish. Amazing Browns and Rainbow trout suspended in clear water. If you’re driving Eastbound HWY 12 before White Pass at 60-70 mph you blink and you’ll never see it.
