I launched out of Panorama Point and had my line in the water around 5:30am. Fished along the southern shore across from Swift Creek Campground to Noisy Creek until 8:00am. Pulled 4 oz. sinker with a #0 Dodger with an 18" leader to a bare red hook topped with sand shrimp. Tried various depths from 20 to 45 strips down (no downriggers on my boat...). No luck, unfortunately. I saw one guy net a fish near me and one guy net a fish on the northern shore about 1/2 way between Shannon and Swift campgrounds. I'm guessing there were 60-ish boats on the water.

One my way back to the ramp, I was flagged down by a couple DFW officers. They asked how I did and we chatted for a bit. Didn't check my ice-chest or license or anything. I guess I'm an honest-looking guy. Also ran into another staffer at the launch who told me they had just dropped 140 sockeye in the lake up at Swift Creek and that they were going to drop at least one more load that day. Hopefully the bite picks up!

Thanks for the report. I was running a similar setup Friday and had the same luck. I'll probably wait for a while to back up there. Its a bummer going all the way up there using full tank of gas and not get anything. I posted a youtube video of the fish truck we saw Friday. http://youtu.be/8NUWb8JsQgw

Shorten your leader, about 9"- 12" is all you need with a slow troll.
