What a difference a day can make and a half hour. I was fishing by 6am (6:30am yesterday) and the only occupant of the parking lot. The mist was on the lake and the fog descended quickly.
The fish finder showed fish all over, all over the bottom.
I headed over to where I caught the fish yesterday with the same gear; Dick Nite Watermelon and 50/50 dodgers with Wannafish A Lure’s Gilded Lily variance and Agitator in pink. At about 6:10 I had bites...little ones. Then it got good and I got my limit. 2 sets of doubles that I got in the net and in the boat. Well not really, I heaved one over the side of the boat while reaching for the other rod. One of the doubles I saw the fishes mouth, tried to pull the fish into the net, and it popped off dropping INTO THE NET!!!!
I took a picture of my phone gps so you can kind of tell where I was. I was 40 and 30 foot down on my cable. The little ones were the deepest so I brought it up to 35 and 25 and got the bigger ones.
Then when I came in I found that some jealous fisherman had put dirty underwear on my antenna. I guess he was upset about me, a woman, getting my limit before he got on the water. ;-)
