Tapps is a smallmouth factory, but you can tell by the amount of small bass being caught, the game department considers the lake over populated, hindering their growth. Right now, catching a 4 lb smallmouth is very rare. For that reason the game department is encouraging anglers to take their limit home. Just make sure you don't have more than one over 14 inches per person. Anyway, nice fish.
