Fished banks 8/5 and 8/6. Woke up at 4am each morning while it was still pitch black out to beat the coulee heat wave during the day. Fished till about 1:30 till 2 in the afternoon each day. Bass fishing was great! First day I used senkos most of the time. The next day I fished the Koppers Live Target field mouse the whole time and bass where going nuts for that thing. I love top water. Explosion after explosion. Hooked plenty of largies and didn't miss one hook set. Most fish where about the same size from the 1-3 pound range. Fished the punch bowl near the reeds, points and grass field areas that run off into the water. They where even going after that mouse in open water during the hot sun at noon. Plenty of weed beds now in the punch bowl then when I fished it a couple weeks ago. Saw tons of bass fry swimming around the punch bowl. I also tried along hwy 155 drop shotting for smallmouth but kept losing my rig between the boulders below. Saw plenty of smallmouth fry also along the hwy. Banks lake is at full pool right now and the water is very clear. Temps where in the 70-75 range in the bowl if not a little warmer since its pretty shallow in the bowl. Have lots of great pics bit I can only post 2!

Since the game department did that planting of largemouth in Banks and made them "catch and release" for a few years, the largemouth have really rebounded in that lake. I can also see in the background that you had the gift of fishing flat water with no wind. Nice!
