Well not quite the numbers today as yesterday but boy the big fish were biting. Hit the water at about 0700. Hit a new spot I never fished on a point off Snag Island. Fish were busting the surface after bait fish. Caught about 4 then the wife hooked into a big one. thought she had another Tiger Muskie the way the fish fought her. She pulled in a nice 3lb smallie pic to follow. Using the Carolina rig with 4" Berkley power worm in camo color 15-20 feet of water. hit another spot and by now its full on raining and were getting soaked but did not care because we found a hole and caught several fish out of it over a pound each. Ill take a handful of those fish any day over a bunch of dinks.

Its great to see you 2 fishing together. Finally got my wife out fishing a few weeks ago at Potholes. She got a 3 lb trout and was really stoked. Remember to give her 3 kisses and 3 hugs per day and you'll live happy forever.

She was my bass partner when we lived in east Texas. Great to own a boat again and have my old partner with me

You must have launched at Allen York cause I was the only trailer at North Park. If I see your boat I'll stop by. Like I said in my report, other than an hour or so I fished the hump across from the boat launch, I was on Driftwood Point the whole time. Every time I fish east of North Park toward Dike 11 and go under the bridge, I always stop on the first Snag Island point where I think you were fishing. The background in your wife's photo looks like that location. The first and third points are my favorites.

we did launch at Allen York and worked our way east then north from Snag Island by the time we reached the county park area you were probably gone. the day before the log boom to the campground just east of the county park was down. I guess it had come loose and drifted to shore. It stays pretty deep between the two points there and there is some cover (stumps). we were pulling them out of there left and right until the guy came out with his boat and put it back in place. If that ever happens again ya have to check it out.
