Was in Auburn today so I hit Trout Lake. Been a couple of years since I fished it. Tossed a 5 inch green pumpkin grub, a Ribbit frog and an Excalibur crankbait. Ended up with 9 total. Bigger fish caught were on the crankbait. Two at 2 lbs, 4 at a pound and three small guys...on the grub. Lost two that were over 3 lbs on the frog...having seen the fish explode and jump, tossing the hook, I saw their size, and a couple in the 1-2 pound range. Same scenario. Even tho fish were lost, nothing like seeing a bass explode on the topwater. Great day
