Hiked to Dewey Lake off of hwy 410 yesterday the hike is pretty easy but when we got there found those little trout jumping like they were begging to be caught..... so we unpacked our rods and my son wanted to cast and retrieve so hooked him up with a wedding ring and away he went.... I threw on some artificial eggs with a bobber and waited...... no fish for the 1st half hour.... oh but they were there..... starting to think I need to learn how to fly fish.... but alas I had an idea..... lol.... set up my other rod with a slide sinker and some corn powerbait threw it in and didn't even have time to set the tension and BAM it was on... those little guys love some powerbait.... threw a dab on my son's wedding ring and Whammo.... caught 2 real quick I lost one...... as it does way up high the weather changed and the fish got quiet so we hiked around the rest of the lake to recon some camping sites for next time and made our way back to trailhead..... fun day great little hike 6 miles roundtrip.
