I got on the water at about 1:00 pm. Thought I would give it a try before the state poisons it. I fished from one end of the lake to the other. If I saw a spot that looked liked it should hold fish I hit it. I saw hundreds of small bass and caught a dozen or so, nothing over 6". It was good practice for trying out tackle and techniques but wish I could have boated a few keepers. I tried several types of lures, the best seemed to be a motor oil colored senko wacky worm. I threw them into openings in the weed mats and let them float down. The fish would hit within a few seconds. It is a nice lake and not a lot of boat traffic.
