It was a beautiful Saturday morning, so I decided to go fishing somewhere nearby. I usually fish at Angle Lake, but the dock is closed to any access until the walkway out to the dock can be repaired.
Seems that person(s) deemed it necessary to cause major damage and to also burn plastic waste cans while partying. This kind of $hit occurs when it gets hot and people congregate to cool off. There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for this kind of behavior! I'll get off my soapbox and get to the reason for my posting. Five Mile lake seems to have cooled off to fish, so off I drive to Lake Meridian.

The fishing dock was virtually mine. Tried tossing a few lures and got a strike but no take on the Kastmaster. I switched to the proven Nightcrawler with just enough shot to cause the bait to fall to the bottom, I caught Smallmouth Bass, Bluegills, Yellow Perch and even one catfish. Nothing of remarkable size, but the catfish weighed 1-1/2 pounds. All fish were released. I rated high for the outstanding weather and the FUN I had catching fish. That's what it is all about!
