Fished off of Gene Coulon Park in Renton, Saturday mid-morning. Cloudy skies, mid-60-'s weather, light wind. Fished for about an hour using light tackle, artificial plastic worms, finesse type fishing, off the bank at north end of the park. Couple of light bites, then one strong one but lost fish due to improper setting of drag. Half-hour later after a dozed casts and slow retrievals, hooked into a nice, strong fighting bass. Finally landed it after it fought hard, and it measured about 14 inches, with large girth. Did not weigh it, but that catch made my day. Spoke with other fisherman in the park, and most were fishing with worms and not catching anything. I'll go back again before too long. Good luck!
