Saturday I started fishing 7:45am finished 3 hours later with a limit. But 3 were next years fish and 2 this years. It was hard to find any big ones. The ones I brought home I got in about 80 foot of water 32 foot down on the downrigger. I didn’t get any deeper on my stacked cable.

Sunday I started fishing about 7:15am and quit at 10:15 with my 5th. Fog blew in for a little bit first thing in the morning then went away leaving sunny skies.

Once I got to the deep part of the lake I got fish hooked right away but they were all small. I had the Dick Nite Chartreuse hothead paired with the salmon roe Z-ray spoon. The other rod had the Dick Nite Pink spatter with a Wannafish A Lure Pink splatter squiddy. The rod at the top stacked position got 90% of the fish (30-33 feet down). I had the spoon on the top and then I thought I would switch to find out if it was the lure or the position. Conclusion was the position.

After the little ones frenzy wore off within the hour I had to go all over the deep end of the lake trying to find big ones. A few small ones thrown in. I did get five but they were each one at different areas. One I got when I was thinking of leaving close to 10am. I had 42 feet of cable out. I thought I would go into a shallow area at the edge of the lake and I picked up one on the bottom rod... 42 foot down with the spoon in 65 feet of water.

I did send the thermometer down and at 35 feet it was 70 degrees.

I sent the cable as far down as 70 feet but all bites were 42-45 feet cable out with another rod approximate 10 foot above it. Most of the fish came on the top rod. The end score of keepers was 3 Wannafish A Lure and 2 for the Z-ray. But since I had the spoon on top most of the time it hooked the most fish.
I used corn and a Berkeley maggot on the lure while the spoon had nothing.
