Took my uncle who was visiting out to try and get him a brown trout and some rainbows. Pixked up 2 small rainbows up pretty quick that I released because of my 14" or bigger keeper rule. My unlce looked at me like I kicked a puppy, he thought they were plenty big enough compared ro the skinny stream trout he is used to catching.
The fiah were a lot more spread out than the the Labor day trip. Fishing was erratic but we managed our limits with most fish coming between 40-70'. My uncle was thrilled with the biggest trout of his life. 18 3/4" 2.6 lbs.
He was like a kid in the boat when I got it in the net.
"That is not a trout that is a salmon!" He had a great time but the fishing was slower than it has been so I didn't rate it high but a decent day and good time nonetheless. Can't wait for the colder temps.
