Hmmm, can't figure out how to be discrete/secret about the lake, but for your information, Chiwaukum Lake ain't it. It was a trip invited by others, so I feel the need to be discrete. I can't figure out how to select a secret lake, so please excuse me for being misleading.

Went on a lovely morning/early afternoon fishing trip with the brilliant fishinChristian and Jigmeister, who graciously invited me on a Friday trip. We targeted spiny rays, primarily yellow perch and crappie, plus whatever else decided to bite. My personal contribution to the catch was substantially less than theirs, but I learned an incredible lot by just observing - IMHO, these two guys are arguably the best fisherman I've known. I'm an engineer, and always pride myself on being analytical about attacking any problem (including fishing), but fishinChristian/Jigmeister are true masters. They know the species, they know the habits, they know the presentation, they know the conditions, and they have an amazing knowledge of where to go at any given location. Jiggy's lures are something special, as he deeply understands the fish in this area, and their feeding habits under a variety of conditions.

I would have given it a three stars, based upon my personal contribution to the fish harvest. But I must give it five stars, because Jiggy/fishinChristian taught me a heck of a lot in a few hours, and as a consequence I have those tools for the future. These guys are geniuses....

Well thank you. I'm glad we've got somebody fooled. Again, I've enjoyed our trips together, and I know Jiggy enjoyed being out with you on the lake, or river or whatever. You actually caught a pretty fair number, but the size was a little down. Sometimes the windshield... been there. We caught more largemouth than anything else, but most were the size of our diminutive lures. Again, thanks for the kind words. Lord Bless.

It was truly an honor to finally get the opportunity to fish with you guys (Jiggy/fishingChristian). I'm seriously happy to see you healing up Jiggy, and eagerly looking forward to fishing with you and fishinChristian more. After all, I provide 160 lbs of extra weight, and you guys provide the expertise!! :) I think after watching you two masters at work, I have a lot better idea of the presentation mistakes I was making with respect to the evasive crappie....

How did you guys do after I had to return to Tri-Cities??

Approximately 70 crappie/perch. Good uns, too. One big walleye, about 7-8 lbs, "pre-released" by Jiggy. That 160 is compensated for by Jiggy's hot air, so it all comes out even. Any time I need to lighten the load on the boat, I invite him along...
