The elusive cutthroat was on my agenda in Lake Sammamish. Arrived at my usual fishing hole at Sammamish Landing after work at around 6pm. I didn't have any luck in the morning before work, except a couple taps that didn't hook correctly. Was using a chinese-branded spoon that I bought on ebay for < $1, red and black in color. Threw it out a few times, and reeled in slowly. On the 3rd or so cast, I thought I had snagged on a branch, but still set the hook, just in case. This fish wasn't fighting at all. As it got closer, I saw that it was a crappie! A nice 10 incher or so. First crappie in Lake Sammamish for me. Sorry, it was too dark to take photos. They're out there folks.
