Got to the lake around 10 and started fishing the north eastern part of the lake working my way south along the eastern shore. the first hour was dead slow, I didn't get so much as a bite, I assumed that had to do with my location, so I moved on. I reached a dock about mid lake on the eastern shore, made a cast and while preparing rod #2 rod 1 starts jingling(bell). Set the hook fish on! And landed. 12" bow, gave it to the guy next to me. Tried for another 40 mins with no bites so I moved on hitting various spots on my way south. I reached the amphitheater area and casted my bait set up then set rod #2 up for some browns, I put on a size 7 deep diving Rapala. About my 3Rd cast with that as I'm realling up I notice a lunker following it, and SLAM!! It took it. It rolled and jumped and tried with all it's might to evade me, but to no avail. I landed it!! The Russian people sharing the dock took a pic for me and a gave them the fish. They were pretty happy lol. It was about a 20" holdover, full finned, and beautiful. I moved on shortly after that a few spots down I landed another 13" bow released unharmed. Then the winds started to kick up and I left, completely stoked about my day. First time I've successfully fished this lake, only tried half heartedly one other time. Rod #1 orange power eggs/garlic scent. Rod #2 size 7 blueback silver sided deep diving Rapala (walleye lure)
