Woke up Sunday morning to check the weather conditions outside as well as the online projected conditions. Still dry outside and noticed that the Seattle area was currently in a rain shadow possibly until 1pm. After getting a bite of breakfast and filling the thermos with Mickey D's coffee I headed north up I-5 to Green Lake. Arrived at 8 am, plenty of parking still available. Noticed the population on 65th Street dock was nearly at capacity. Plenty of real estate about 50 yards north where I usually set up. Tossed a spinner and spoon for about 1/2 hour. Fished the rest of the time with half crawler and rainbow power egg/ garlic scent the rest of the time. Nothing for 2 hours, not even a twitch. I had just poured a cup of hot coffee and text my wife when the rod tip quivered just a perceptible amount. Watched closely and tip signaled to the positive. Set the hook into a very feisty and nicely colored 14" bow; the hook coming out just as it was being netted. That was the only fish I caught, but the weather conditions were not bad for November. Was hoping that Browns will show up, but it's still early.
