Fishing this lake is always a challenge due to the large amounts of food available. Today was a pretty good day considering this lake is well known for producing and not from day to day, it's never consistent. That being said it also produces the largest perch in North Idaho. I tried to locate some mouse grubs but apparently our country is facing a great shortage due to drought and floods so prices are high making wax worms and maggots the choice bait. Some fish were caught with a small silver/glow Swedish Pimple, others with a combo of pimple and Ratso jigs, both worked equally well. Ended up with 8 perch ranging from 10-12". The ice is clear and a solid 7"
P.S. If any of you Applemaggots make it over to Idaho, i'm supporting a green Eskimo shanty and coffee is always hot. =)
