The four of us arrived at water's edge around 10a.m. We were trying to decide whether to fish or improvise a sailboarding competition. Eventually got out through the chop and began casting and stripping a modified Carlton General. I caught six, all near 16" (and one bass), while my two buddies totaled eight between them. Chironomiding was somewhat slower, given the rough water conditions. We hung it up around 4p.m. Legs got too tired making like crabbers in the Bering Strait... Not a bad lake though; I plan on returning in the early summer to check out the bass-on-the-fly scene that I've heard about...
