Fourth of July was still very productive at the end of December. Fishing seems to have slowed down since then. In my opinion the first narrows have not really produced much this year. Everytime I have walked by other fisherman and asked how they were doing in that area they've all been skunked. The key it seems is to spread out and find an area that hasn't been fished around very much and pretty shallow. Was fishing in 5-6 feet of water at most. Gone twice where I have gotten limits and the most recent time fishing (January 5) only caught 2. Fish pictured is a 24" bow I caught floating bait 2 feet off the bottom. Anything that size ice fishing makes for an interesting battle. If anyone knows the earliest time that open water fishing is usually possible again at fourth could they please let me know, thanks. Good luck to everyone! (Side note: with the weather being warmer lately the ice might be sketchy so be careful out there)

Thanks! Fourth of July Lake is about an hour away from Spokane going West on I-90. The lake is found a few minutes away from the city of Sprague. @DjButler

The last time out there the ice was around 10" (Gotta be less now). Plenty solid enough to be fishing on but the ice was cracking around me all day which did not instill too much confidence. @dluders
