I go to Cottage lake about five times a year to fish for rainbows. After school I went to the lake with a few of my friends. I was the only one that was catching, and all I was using was some worms and a bobber. It was an average day I had caught about 4 rainbows. I reeled in my line and left the worm about an inch in the water while I opened my tackle box so that I could change my bait. When a dumb black crappie swam up and ate my worm. The line was only an inch under the surface. That was the first and only black crappie I've ever caught. The only thing I know about them is that they like worms, they look like a sunfish, and that they are really stupid. But it was a great day, especially since I out fished all my friends by at least 2 fish.
