2/3/2014 4:16:00 PMThat actually happened to me 4-5 times when I went to fourth my first time. I'd get a hit, and the fish would take off with it. The only way I saved it was throwing myself across the slippery ice to grab a hold of it each time. Something that helped was loosening the drag a little making it so that if a fish does take it, it can just take line off the reel. Hope that's somewhat helpful.

2/4/2014 8:27:00 AMFishing the shallow water is always best. 3-6ft. Sounds crazy but it's true. Fishing close to the edges of the Lake is good but be very careful cause the ice is thinner closer to shore.

2/8/2014 1:37:00 AMIs the entire lake frozen over, or are there places to do some bank fishing? And if I was to do some bank fishing, is there a slim chance of catching fish?
I'm from the west side and just moved over here this year for school and I have the itch to go fishing something fierce! We don't have the "frozen" lake problem where I'm from. I guess it might be a blessing if you are ice fishing though lol
