I bought a pass for Spanaway last month. I have been there a few times now, but I haven't caught any fish. I wasn't expecting to. I am mostly learning the lake and playing with the fish finders. Last February was the only other time I was here and I caught a nice brown, so I have been switching between bass and browns. I have been throwing everything from jerkbaits, rattletraps and blade baits to drop shot , Carolina rigs and tubes. Mostly focusing on points, drops and weedlines. I haven't focused on shallow or docks. That will be soon thought. It is easy to get into a pattern of just casting at docks and shallow cover, But im trying to break those habits.

Last week I had my steering cables replaced ($900) at Limit Out Marine, When I was picking my boat up I realized I had the dirtiest boat. So, when I got home I spent all day buffing paint and cleaning rims. I discovered the my brand new spare was flat. A spare doesn't do any good if it is flat. I am glad I checked it while cleaning the boat. Make sure to check those spare tires!

Water temp has been around 43 the last month and weed lines are between 13 to 16 ft mostly water is stained from all the rain.

I've always had my luck with the browns over there by trolling a worm just off the bottom very slowly in the south end of the lake on the deeper part of the drop off. Im talking right above the weeds. Usually during march. Hope this helps.

Spring is coming, Spring is coming, Spring is coming.

LOL

I was going to go this weekend, but it's going to snow, they think.

For bass, fish deeper. Look for rock in the 20-35 ft range. Unless the weather gets nice for a few days most those fish will be deeper than the weedline
