Fished for about 6 hours. I got skunked. My buddy caught 2. Threw everything at them and it seemed like just a worm worked best. One was a real good looking 20". Should have taken a picture but we didn't think he was a Triploid, so we wanted to get him back in the water right away. Saw a few other groups but they were too far away to tell if they had any luck. The ice is the thickest I've ever seen 16" - 18" thick. You better eat your Wheaties or get lucky like we did and have a couple of real nice guys show up with one of those Lithium Ion augers. Yeah that thing was Bad A**. Real quiet too. If you guys are reading this thanks again, as I realized how out of shape I am. Not a very good day, but better than sitting in the house. We did figure out that it's one at time to cook breakfast burrito's on the mister heater.

Most of the memorable fishing trips are those that not all goes as planned. 16 in. of ice is inconvenient!!
