Got on the lake about 9:30 we had to use the public launch on the west end. We started out around Harper Island marking a ton of small fish but no bites. We trolled east and started picking up fish at about Shack Island. We ran into an ice slab about two thirds of the way to the east end and had to turn around and troll back. I'm still getting used to the new Garmin 741xs and the electric downriggers so today was just practice. I used a downrigger and my wife started out with just PoP gear. She could not get a bite working the top 5-7ft. She finally joined me on a downrigger and it was fish on for the rest of the day. We ended up with 10 trout from 15"-19" all in the 2- 3 pound range and nice and firm. For bait we were using hoochies that I had tied up to take to Lake Chelan next month for silvers.
