Fished Chitwood today from 3:00pm to about 6:30pm. The weather was primarily overcast, with rain showers coming through every now and again. As soon as I got to the lake I saw lots of fish rising and there was also a pretty good amount of insect activity. As such, I tried throwing flies for a bit, but I think everything that I had was too big and or just didn't look right seeing as I didn't get any hits at all. I then switched to a small gold colored sinking Rapala, again with no luck. After that I went with salmon eggs under a bobber, which was definitely the ticket for today. I had no problem catching fish with that setup and ended up keeping one nice sized Cutthroat.
