Beautiful sunny, warm day at Sprague Lake. No big numbers of fish; in fact I had only one bite, but what made the day a "4+/Very Good Day Fishing" was the weather, the solitude and my wife catching a nice 18"+ football of a rainbow. The only negative was the grocery sack load of litter that I picked up from our fishing spot. Considering I picked up the same area less than one week ago of lazy slob mess….very disappointing. Please folks…There is no need to leave candy wrappers, empty corn cans, fishing line and other litter all over a fishing spot for others to pick up.

A pig is a pig with or without the lip stick....and you will need to do what you have been doing forever because a pig can't change what he or she is. Thanks for the clean up!! Bravo.

I agree. And thank you again for what you've been doing at Sprague concerning garbage.. I also walk the roads nearby and clean litter from the ditches along four different roads here in western Washington. It's a shame that alot of people have no concience at all and seem not to care about having a beautiful country to live in. Maybe if it were taught in the home when people were kids, they would not be so apt to litter. Just my 2 cents.

Your lucky,I love fishing the north fork of the solduc, one of the most beautiful places on the peninsula.Every time I go I bring a large garbage bag with me,never fail to fill it up.I'm no tree hugger but it breaks my heart to see how little respect some people have for the great outdoors. Its always beer and liquor containers, food containers and scrap fishing line.its almost 2 miles in from the road, amazes me they have the energy to pack it in but just don't have the strength to haul it out.Kudo's to you for having the fortitude to clean up after the lazy slobs that disrespect your lake.....happy fishing.

Try fishing around the Yakima area. You will need more than a garbage bag. Try a dump truck and Hazmat suit. Used Daipers along with all of the other usual garbage.

I agree with Sun- I'm no tree hugger, but it is truly bone-crushingly disheartening that people destroy the beautiful land we are blessed to have in WA. I couldn't imagine anywhere else in the world I'd rather live... People should at least show it basic respect.

In regards to the fishing, where's the pictures!!! :) Nice fish though.
