Around 4pm my oldest said she wanted to go fishing. She didnt want to take the boat and liked the last time we caught perch off the dock at the Cove boat launch in Lk Stevens. We dug up some worms and off we go. We used power bait, worms and gulp wax worms. She caught one nice size perch with a few more bites but none to the dock. She was floating a worm and gulp wax worm under a float. I set one of my rods with power bait and my other with a spinner (2 rod endorsement). As the sun was going away some fish started jumping in the bay which I think were kokanee but not sure. I casted my spinner near a splash and had a taker and it was a crazy feisty fight that didnt last long but lead me to believe it was a koke. That was the end of our fun day with no light and My daughter was hungry. I put other for the target species because we were going for what ever would bite.
