Finally Finally Finally.. Landed my first koke EVER!! I was on the water at 11:15 trolling on the north shoreline in 35 feet of water. Surface temp hit 60 so I flatlined my Luhr Jensen dodger and green kokabow lure 55 pulls back. I caught rainbow after rainbow for a half hour. I decided to tip my lure with a piece of night crawler and one piece of shoepeg corn and 5 min into my troll I hook my first koke. I thought it was a monster the way it was making my pole bounce but turned out to be a nice ~12 inch fatty. I went 1/3 on the kokes today which is not great but I am so pumped I landed my first one ever. I would like to mention that I used all the tips you guys have been helping me with and it did help. Keeping the rod tip down played a huge factor in landing the big one. The others didnt even have a chance as they came unbuttoned half way to the boat. What a great day on the water.
