My buddy and I hit the water around 8:30 am, we were using square bill crank baits with a slower retrieve and managed to land one 3 pound large mouth (weighed) and one little 1/2 pounder. Both were caught around the island which is submerged right now. There was a goose nesting on top of a beaver lodge witch is on top of the island.......she wasn't very pleased that we were there but she let us pass without any issue. We switched to trout fishing and caught a couple nice sized fish. The trout were hitting the typical pink wedding ring with green power bait on the hook.
