Decided to take a whack at the (hopefully still) pre-spawn perch in the I82 ponds. Blowing slightly in Tri-Cities, but by the time I got to the winery outside of Prosser, flags were stiff out. Should have turned around.
Went to Pond #4. Quite a bit of chop on the water, and had to hide on the SE side of the lake to get out of the wind - pontoon boat was acting like a sail. Caught a few ~10" bass, but no crappie or bluegill. Not surprising since I spent most of my time trying to keep the pontoon under control.
Had a few perch bites in the middle of the lake, but that is about it (other than the micro-bass). I gave it a 2-rating, because it might have been better than I experienced - it was just too windy to be out there....
