Oh my Gosh, should've been there, only one other guy showed up all day only wsh I got there a little sooner would not have had to fight the wind, shore fishing with fly rod and the grass getting up made it difficulr to cast but once I got it close to a rise, wham it was on, must of missed twenty strikes, either to slow, missed or watching somewhere else and by the time I look back at the fly it has been hit and spit and all I see is the boil of the fish gone, so pay attention I say to myself and wham again airborne and all, miss again, man I say to myself stay focused, and when I think I'm doing it right I do it wrong but the fish stays pegged anyway, don't figure, just luck sometimes. Sure got to love it when it is every cast your getting a strike, and from shore no less, boy should've brought my float tube! Next time. The other fisherman that showed up said he caught 7 on a spinner, didn't ask what kind, I said tried them before without much success so I stick with the fly, Pink Lady can't go wrong with this fly out here, produces every time even when wind is blowing hard, the more ripple the more bites, just got to pay close attention to the fly line so you can detect the strike, haven't tried a strike indicator yet but thinking about it now cause it could help me detect more strikes that I'm missing, Biggest one oh 20 inches, lots of teens and even some minnows, small ones( Cutts) still all fun to catch. So tight lines and give a hoot don't pollute.
