What a great morning of fishing! Could have had my first limit of Kokes today but I ended up keeping a rainbow towards the end. I was using bait and that would have been my limit even if I let it go. Fish were caught all over the lake, the middle being the most consistent. I had my last 3 fish about 2-5 min apart from each other. My biggest was 14 inches, smallest was 10.5 inches. The big one had some really nice red fillets. I'm HOOKED on this fishery now. Tight lines to ya all and have a great opening weekend!

It really came down to being patient and letting the water warm up to turn on the bite.! Glad I was :)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought kokanee dont count towards trout limit so you could have kept fishing for kokes.

Im pretty sure its combined. Not positive though... Page 17 of the rule book says 5 fish limit for trout and kokanee but nothing about the combination. I was just being on the safe side.
