This is the first day in almost 20 years I've fished on opening day. It started out as a last second plan with my 8 year old son, coaxing him to go fishing this morning. We didn't have all day to fish as he had a game at 2. Picked up another friend at 7 and headed towards Enumclaw for worms. Got to the lake and started at the bank, past the defunct dock. My son had a fish within 10 minutes, my friend and I both missed one. We then moved to the swimming shore after a half hour of nothing and started slaying them! I had the big fish of the day at 14 inches, my son had the first fish, and my friend had the first limit. Good times on a small lake without the crowds!

Good luck out there,
Stefan
