My wife and I fished Lake McMurray opening day. We arrived at 6 am to quite a line at the boat ramp. Parking was at a premium in finding a spot, and 10.00 fee in a neighboring field. It moved quickly and we actually got into the water about 6:20. We fished the east side of the lake due to some recommendations from others, but it was very slow. We got several bites, but only one fish before 7 am. Then we decided to move to the west side of the lake. On the troll over we starting catching fish. We caught fish about every 5 minutes from then on, with two times both of us having fish on at the same time. After keeping a few for dinner we released all the rest. We called it a morning at 9 am and we both caught more than 15 each. Hot lure was triple teaser in green with spots, with just a small hunk of worm on the hook trailing.
