Had a great day on the water out at Kapowsin! I got there at about 8am, began fishing from shore because I was waiting for my buddies to get there with their boat. So I found a spot on the left side of the dock and set up both my poles (I purchased the two pole endorsement this year! woo hoo!) and was using green Berkeley power bait and red power eggs off the bottom. After about 2 hours of no luck, this old timer comes trolling up to the dock and we start talking about what we both were using. I tell him what I had been using and he says, "that's good, but you wanna use a wedding ring tipped with either a worm or maggot". "Troll at a steady-slow pace, and go back by the old boat house". So that's what we did. He gave me his stash of leftover worms and 2 wedding rings one orange and one pink. So from the dock, we headed left. So if you were looking straight at the island from the dock turn left and head for that area. Its pretty deep back there I think. The most luck we had was passing in front of the dock. Then turning around and doing it again and again. We found what worked and beat that into the ground! First my friend from California had a fish on then his dad then me and that was the routine for about 2 hours. In no time we had all limited out and were happy. All in all amazing day out at Kapowsin. And there will be more to come I'm sure!

Good luck!

I used the same set up a week and a half ago, took two buddies out, one used a pink cha-cha lure (looks line a pink squid), as he called it, and within two hours we all had our limit.
