I fished from 2:00 until 7:30. I landed a total of 9 fish with 4 rainbows in the 12" range, a 19" rainbow, a 20" cutthroat, and 3 browns in the 21"-23" range. I used a medium sink line with size 12 olive and black beadheaded woolly buggers. I caught the big rainbow and cutthroat casting right up against the shore and stripping it back as fast as possible. I caught the others by letting all of the line out of my spool and kicking around a little and then stripping the line in quickly with pauses. A lot of times the fish will follow my fly and a pause and start again will cause the fish to hit. I caught the browns right around and just after dark. I've fished this lake quite a bit since the first of October and I've found the smaller beadheaded buggers work the best, especially when stripped quickly.
