Fished from 630Pm to 8pm at the 65th St dock. Caught 3 rainbow stockers in the first 30 minutes. The last stocker swallowed the hook and I didn't even know it was on there until I reeled it in. Same thing happened on the last time I reeled up, except I had on a 3 inch rock bass. Everything was caught on a pair of white power eggs and 6 ft leader. Didn't see any risers tonight as there was a light wind from the NW.

Note of caution - There is a nasty snag in front of the dock on the left side. I lost a kastmaster spoon in it. Another guy also lost a lure in it. My buddy's power bait set up also got caught up in it. He pulled some of the snag up and I saw a giant ball of mono line. Whatever it is, it sucks.

Rumor has it that the rowers threw a bike or something in front of the dock because they were mad at the fisherpeople's lines getting in the way of their rowing. I don't know if it's true but I know I sure have lost a bunch of gear on that snag as well. There's probably a goldmine of lures down there.

And thanks for adding the leader length info, it really helps. Tight lines

That snags been there awhile, did not think you would lose it using a lure, but bottom fishing is a definite snag!! I guesstimate it to be about 20-30 yards out at least, lost my share,...

That doesn't surprise me kingroobes. Ive seen guys cast by people on watercraft passing the dock as a warning that they were too close to the dock. Ive fished that left side from time to time since 2009. This was the first time Ive encountered it myself.
