My wife had to work a 12Hr. shift and I was on call until 0800. So, what was I supposed to do for Mothers Day? I put in at Connelly park at 0930. I headed West where all the other boats were working. My first fish came from 15 FOW That was about 15 min. in. I was fishing 2-poles. 1 with slow death only. The other with orange and chartreuse Wally Pop. After the 2nd fish on the Wally Pop and nothing on the slow death I decided to make a change. But, I was fishing solo, getting pushed around by the wind & fish kept bothering me. I had boated 4 fish on the Wally Pop before I could get the other rod changed out. I did manage one double! There were a lot of 12-14'' fish. I had to keep a few smaller fish due to them swallowing it. It was my kind of bite though. No short biters. Aggressive! The only sizable fish I had to the boat managed to dodge the net and swim away for another day. (Approx. 4-5 LBS.) It was a great day out!

That's a great day of fishing AFK! Wally Pop's are fantastic for catching some great Walleye and have actually won the Washington State Governor's Cup! Another great product to try if you haven't already done so, is the Double Whammy Walleye, which are equally as effective! Great job! Those are some nice looking fish.

i have found the Mack's Cha-Cha is a great walleye getter, too.

Thanks Lance! I really like the flotation of the Wally Pop for fewer hang ups. You have a great product there.
Hey ncwflounderer, I have not tried that yet.

I guess they call it the Cha Cha Crawler rig, they also have a "cha cha Squider" that does good too.

MMMmm tasty! Nice job! How long into the season is the Walleye fishing decent between there and Potholes? All my Walleye fishing has been done in Central Nebraska, I would like to get over there and give it a go!

Walleye fishing is usually good right through to the fall. My last trip last year was a week before ice in and I slayed a limit of keepers in a few short hours

Hey Gringo Pescador, it varies but, as ncwflounderer said, it will continue from here on out. That being said, depth, speed, color & general location can change. I've struck out on both Potholes and Moses many a time. Right now though has been good on both.

Hey Mcfisherson13, parenthood can be brutal to ones fishing plans. For now you are not going to get a good nights sleep for some time. I'm going to miss out this coming weekend due to Jacobs college graduation the 17th in Minnesota. Flights, meals, car rental & motel for 4 of us will be well worth it though. (Geez if we didn't go I could afford a depth finder like yours!) I have to rub it in because the smell of skunk has permeated the fiberglass of my boat!!!!

Sweet, I'll be there the next few weeks! Boat is loaded and ready to go. Just need to get a line in the water and catch a bunch of eaters! Thanks for letting me know it is good! What speed are you trolling and depth? Just want to get them in the freezer and have some good eats! Have you been jigging at all for them or casting lately and what have you been using if you have and have you had any success?

Hey Roosterpie, I didn't try any jigs.I was getting pushed around a lot by the wind and can only guess at speed. Maybe 1.5-2 MPH. I caught fish in 15'- 4 FOW. Good luck!
