I got on the water about 7AM and fished til 1:30. Air temp? Hot! It was a beautiful day with a light breeze that felt great. Fishing was tough though. I caught 4 bass between 1-1 1/2 lbs. As usual, I didn't get a sniff til late morning. The first fish came off brush and wood in 2 feet of water. The other three were all under docks. All fish were caught on the shore opposite Rainbow resort in the upper half of the lake. All fish were caught on 5" Senkos, green pumpkin/black fleck. Oddly, every one I've caught out of Tanwax(every one) were on that lure and color. I've tried topwater, spinner baits, cranks and lizards but nothing seems to work for me. Also, every fish except one have come off of that shoreline. How weird is that? Amazingly, even the little fish fight hard. Oh, by the way, the perch were everywhere. I couldn't I couldn't keep them off my lure.

I have a nephew that fishes Tanwax quite regularly. And he has caught some pigs out of there using a black and blue jig and craw. But he also says one day is great, the next day he can't buy a bite. I know many years ago Tanwax was the only lake I knew of that a blue plastic worm was the go-to bait. Anyway, like Ohop, Tanwax has some bass of scary size.
